This year Kearney Raceway Park is celebrating it 50th anniversary. The track was first opened in 1964 by Carrol Sheldon on a runway at the old Kearney Army Airfield a WWII bomber training base as Kearney Dragway. The name was later changed to Kearney Raceway Park, this track has been in continuous operation for the past 50 years. Making it the 2nd longest operating track in NHRA Division 5. We have some big plans in the works for our track over the next few years. We would like to take all the sponsors, racers and fans for all their support over the last 5 decades and with their help we plan on being here for many years to come!
